We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Backend Engineer to join our team and help build enterprise-ready software that supports our innovative platform.
Responsibilities
As a Backend Engineer at Actable AI, you will:
- Develop, implement, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services for our low-code data science platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers, to define and implement new features and functionalities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to best practices and established coding standards.
- Ensure the smooth deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of our applications in a Kubernetes-based environment.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and stability for our platform.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, to contribute to the improvement of our platform and tech stack.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in backend development, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with the Flask web framework.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies, specifically Kubernetes.
- Experience with database design and management, including both SQL and NoSQL solutions.
- Experience with writing and maintaining Restful API following OpenAPI standards.
- Familiarity with React or other frontend JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
