Company Overview
We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in data warehouse stacks. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions. Experience with Azure or open-source technologies is a significant advantage. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional extensive travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data architecture solutions to support business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Analyze and translate business requirements into logical and physical data models, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across various systems.
- Implement and maintain ETL processes, data integration, and data transformation techniques, using best practices and tools to ensure high-quality data delivery.
- Optimize and tune data warehouse performance to improve query response times and overall system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and provide data architectural expertise.
- Evaluate and recommend data warehousing tools, technologies, and platforms to support the organization's objectives.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and architectural diagrams to aid in data governance and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data architecture, and provide guidance to the organization on data management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in designing and implementing data warehouse solutions, with a strong background in various data warehouse stacks.
- Experience with Azure or open-source data warehousing technologies is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration tools and techniques.
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required.
