Position Description
As a Data Scientist at our startup, you will be at the forefront of utilizing data to drive business strategies, decisions, and objectives. This role will require you to leverage your technical expertise, curiosity, and creativity to solve complex problems and create data-driven solutions. Your work will have a direct impact on shaping our product's direction and success.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights from large and complex datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and business leaders to understand the company's needs and devise possible solutions using data.
- Present and communicate data insights and predictive models to team members and stakeholders, translating complex findings into understandable and actionable results.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and methods in data science, machine learning, and AI.
- Occasionally travel to meet with clients, partners, or attend conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong experience in data analysis and predictive modeling, including regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Knowledge of data querying languages like SQL and experience with big data platforms such as Spark, Flink or similar.
- Experience and high rank on Kaggle is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
